I first met Marie Davey in the staff room a decade ago where she arranged a consultation with me for the following day. At that time I only wanted advice and help with analysis of my payslip and general enquiries re my retirement age.

Having previously met many consultants, I expected to be ignored once I showed little interest in the purchase of salary protection and AVCs. This was not the case.

While she acknowledged that it may not have been the time she went through a ‘ checklist for my future and set me tasks and gave me ‘ the lingo ‘ by which to communicate with the dept regarding my pension. She struck me as being both affable and genuine. Marie encouraged me to be proactive with regards to my financial future.

I always appreciated this and last year contacted her about my pension. She drove some distance during COVID and met me in a hotel lobby to discuss investment and a financial review.

I place full trust in her recommendations and appreciate the two reviews we have had in recent months. I have recommended her frequently to my colleagues and I would only do this with someone who is genuine and follows through.
